Preventive examinations for executives

A special offer of check-ups which is a combination of a classic cardiologically oriented preventive check-up and a special selection of services of the new Vitarium Spa&Clinique Centre with the purpose of maintaining and boosting vitality and better physical and mental condition.

Basic diagnostic programme:

• initial and final examination with a cardiologist, a notice of discharge
• ECG of the heart
• spirometry – function test of the respiratory system
• cardiac stress testing on a stationary bicycle or a treadmill
• laboratory tests: blood test (erythrocytes, leukocytes, hematocrit, haemoglobin; with women also iron + transferrin), sedimentation rate, blood lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL), blood sugar, with men also PSA (the standard screening test for prostate cancer) and liver function tests (SGOT, SGPT, γ GT)
• ultrasound of the vascular system of the neck
• ultrasound of the heart
• ultrasound of the abdominal aorta
• ultrasound of the abdominal cavity

Implementation of programmes

The check-up is usually carried out on Thursdays and Fridays, and this is why we recommend accommodation of the participants in our hotels a day prior to the check-up because the check-ups begin by taking blood and other laboratory tests on an empty stomach at 7 am. This enables us that a cardiologist already has an insight into all the lab results at the final check-up. In the afternoon, services in the field of occupational medicine and abdomen ultrasound are carried out, while the following day we focus on services of counselling in medical wellness.

Prior announcement of the check-ups is necessary at least 14 days ahead. We also receive small groups from 4 to 6 people.  During the check-ups we offer our participants free rental of premises for business meetings, educational trainings, team building ...
