Touring the area

Touring the area

The first portion of the day for planned activities. Then swimming in a pool or the sea. A walk through the landscape park. A half-day sightseeing tour. Perhaps a wine tasting?

Exciting half-day tours

Spice up your day by visiting Piran, a mediaeval Mediterranean coastal town which is a spectacular museum in itself. Visit the Sečovlje saltworks – in addition to the Strunjan saltpans – and its Museum of Saltmaking. Take a guided tour of Krkavče, one of the oldest Istrian villages, and visit an oil production plant. Visit Hrastovlje and its Church of the Holy Trinity, famous for its 15th-century Dance of Death fresco, or Kubed with its ruins of a mediaeval fortification and its five-sided bell tower. From Strunjan you can go see the Karst underground (Postojna Cave, Škocjan Caves), Lipica and its famous Lipizzaner stud farm, and many other interesting places.

The sea from another perspective

We organise panoramic leisure boat trips for groups. From the sea you'll be able to see the Strunjan cliff, the highest known flysch cliff in all of the Adriatic, at its most formidable.

Flavours of Istria

If you wish, we can also organise guided wine tastings for your group. The Primorje wine region is brimming with fine wines.

Walking paths across the landscape park

The area of Strunjan is laced with natural and cultural attractions, and a large part of it is actually a protected landscape park. There are well-kept walking paths linking the attractions and also extending all the way to the towns of Piran and Izola.
