Days of socialising, fun for children
Three activity promoters prepare a rich schedule of organised activities – for every day. Get ready for tombola, evenings with live music, talking with interesting guests, health-related lectures that will benefit your body and mind. A children's club is open during school holidays.
Tours of Istrian attractions
Experienced guides will take you on a tour of an oil production plant where a characteristic Istrian olive oil is produced. Taste the specialities typically served in a traditional Istrian inn or konoba, as it's known locally. Visit the church in Krkavče, one of the oldest villages in Slovenian Istria. Get a taste of what life used to be like in the past.
Day trips
A boat trip is what gives a holiday at the seaside its true charm – especially if it includes a visit to the centuries-old Sečovlje saltpans. Boat trips are run to Trieste, with its famous Miramar Castle, and all the way to Venice. Close to Strunjan are the coastal towns of Piran, Portorož, Izola and Koper – each with its own set of characteristic qualities. It's only a 30-minute drive to Lipica, the cradle of the world-famous Lipizzaner horses. A little further down the road is Postojna Cave, one of the most visited karst caves in the world, and close by are also the spacious Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
